Windows Life-Cycle:

Support for Windows XP ended on 8 April 2014. Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or technical support for the Windows XP operating system.

Support for Windows Vista ended on 11 April 2017, and like Window XP, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or technical support.

Support for Windows 7 ended on 22 January 2020. Microsoft will no longer provide any security updates.

Support for Windows 8/8.1 ended on 10 January 2023. Again, Microsoft will no longer provide any security updates.

Support for Windows 10 will end in 2025.

Even though support is not offered for an early version of Windows, it does not mean that it will stop working.



MAC Address:

The MAC Address (Media Access Control Address) is a unique identifier assigned to every network device. Each MAC address is made up of 6 groups of 2 hexadecimal digits. For more information go to wikipedia.



IP Address:

The IP Address (Internet Protocol Address) is a numerical label assigned to each device connected to a computer network. Each device is given a unique number so sending & receiving of data goes to the correct device.
